Alexia Sambrano

Alexia Sambrano (they/them) is a queer, nonbinary, first-generation Latine artist and model. Alexia is the child of Mexican immigrants and was born and raised in Los Angeles. In May 2022, Alexia graduated from the University of Southern California with two Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science, and a minor in LGBTQ+ Studies. 

 

Alexia's career as an artist began in 2017, when they began to publically share their work on their social media profiles. Their art is heavily influenced by their lived experiences as a first-generation, low-income, queer, Latine/Chicane nonbinary person. Alexia's art deals with heavy themes of femininity and feminism, gender and sexuality, body image, mental health, race and class, their cultural upbringing as a Mexican-American with immigrant parents, and various other themes.

 

Alexia began modeling in 2020 and has since been featured on various platforms, magazines, and small business websites, including Beyond the Commons, Curious Publishing, Mango People Cosmetics, Secretly Hers Jewelry, and various others.
